If you use a Starbucks card and don’t have it registered, you should be ashamed.  I get a free drink every 15 visits!

Don’t worry about how often I go – that’s my problem, not yours. ;)

But a Venti Italian Roast with 2 pumps sugar free vanilla, 2 pumps sugar free caramel and steamed soymilk tastes a lot better for free than for over $4!

I had half yesterday and half this morning.

And even more fabulous treat – Chobani on my doorstep!

Unfortunately there is some added sugar in the delicious new flavors, but they don’t expire until May – so I’ll be loving my plain until after Easter – if I can hide any from my husband. ;)

Last night’s dinner was inspired by my Sweet Garlic Soba Noodles & Peanut Noodles and the fact that Thai stir-fries are everywhere recently!

Peanut flour sauce

  • 1/2 cup peanut flour
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 2 Tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp liquid aminos
  • 1 packet Splenda (or 1 Tbsp sugar)
  • 1/2 tsp ginger
  • 1/4 tsp granualted garlic
  • 1/4 tsp ground red pepper

I used a random mixture of veggies from the fridge.  You really can’t go wrong with a stir fry – red bell pepper, zucchini, mushrooms, onion – sauteed in cooking spray.

I broiled my tofu after pressing it and slicing it in to small squares.  I burshed it with a bit of sesame oil to help it get crispy, and it ended up getting way TOO crispy – more like tofu chips.  But that’s okay.  The meal was still delicious.

I sauteed the veggies, then stirred in the noodels and 3/4 of the sauce.  I drizzled a bit more sauce over the top.  Looking forward to leftovers for lunch!

I can not remember the last thing I got for free, but you just made me get a Starbucks Card so I can get a free drink. That place is so pricey but oh-so-good!

Haha, I loved how you said, “you should be ashamed.” I TOTALLY feel you on this one. Why wouldn’t you register a card?!? I’m on my friend’s case ALL the time because, like me, she gets soy milk and flavour add-ins that end up costing you an extra $1.10 if you don’t have a registered card. I might have to tie her to me next time and drag her to get a registered card! haha

The last thing I got for “free” was a camera…but only for a couple of weeks. Still, I’ll take it!

I save my $1.10 every single time! I even go out of my way sometimes because certain locations don’t honor it. :)

I am so with you on getting coffee for free. I have a Peets card that I get a free drink after 10 visits but it’s only at a certain location, so yes I go out of my way to go there ;)

You are doing so well with your avoiding sugar! Also, I like frozen flavored Chobani for a sweet treat (after Easter of course :) )

Peanut flour sauce is the best! I love making variations of pad thai with it. Why in the world would TJ’s have ever stopped carrying the stuff?!
