1. Fabulous breakfasts

Peanut butter breakfast cookie with bananas

Chocolate version with chocolate whey protein, cocoa powder, greek yogurt, and oats – topped with strawberries and cashew butter.

Voluminous overnight oats – 1/3 cup of oats, 1 cup water (cooked), added almond milk, chia, greek yogurt & berries – yielded over 2 cups of oats, but didn’t keep me full nearly as long as the small “cookies”.  Lesson learned.

The most fabulous breakfast by far was Sunday’s batch of strawberry & almond cream crepes, but I don’t have that kinda time during the week!

2.  “Free” food

So yesterday I forgot my wallet (and realized this during my commute in to work).  I had only packed breakfast, planning on buying a cheap lunch and coffee on my way in to the office.

When you have a registered Starbucks card you not only earn free drinks and get free upgrades, but you can also scan your bar code right from your cellphone.  Phew.

For lunch, I ordered Pita Pit online like last week – you use a credit card, tell them when you want to pick it up, then just walk in to the shop and walk out with your food.

Doesn’t look like a pita, right?  I ordered the “fork style” option, with a black bean patty, avocado, pineapple, sprouts, mushrooms, roasted red peppers, spinach, peppers, onions, tomatoes, and cucumbers.  I love that they don’t charge extra for additional toppings! :)

3.  Cool Beans

A small, independent coffee shop is quickly winning over my loyalty from Starbucks.  They offer 2 different flavored coffees each morning.  Tuesday was S’Mores (AMAZING), and today I’m sipping Cinnamon Danish.  I love when the coffee itself is flavored instead of adding a sugary syrup for flavor.

4.

It’s been at least 75 degrees all week!  It might be coming to an end, but I’ve enjoyed every second.  We usually still get snow in March!

5.  Chobani

I get the opportunity to be featured on their blog next week, since they’re highlighting RDs for National Nutrition Month.  I get to share another case of their new flavors with you!  Check back on Monday for the giveaway!

I love flavored coffees! I always get mine from Boca Java, and they are SOOOO good! I also like that they have flavored decaf, since I try to go easy on my caffeine intake.

I’m loving smoothies, Roo, and my new Kate Spade watch! :)

    Hey Claire! <3

I tried to comment about how delicious your crepes looked the other day, but I had issues!

Anyways, I will be making them! I loved the recipe!

When I would get Pita Pit in college, I’d always ask for so many toppings that inevitably the pita would break and they’d have to start over. Perhaps this is a better option? :) [And one of the reasons I love both Subway and Pita Pit is being able to add as many toppings as possible!]

Was it you who told me about the pineapple in the first place? Genius topping!

I didn’t know you could turn your pita into a salad! I can’t eat the pitas anymore (gluten) so this is amazing!!! Thank you for the knowledge.

I’ve been to Pita Pit only a handful of times and had no idea that you could even get salads there! Am I out of the loop or what!?

Yup, I’d have loved those crepes too! I am loving that I went to bed at a reasonable hour last night and slept in today.

I think it’s pretty funny that you forgot your wallet, because I did as well yesterday. But thanks to my Starbucks loaded card, I knew that if I got desperate for something, at least I had money in it! I kind of laughed at myself for forgetting my wallet, but always having this Starbucks card on me. Clearly I need to rearrange my priorities lol

S’mores and cinnamon danish coffee?! No way! I think I need to visit Pittsburgh for this reason alone (and to see you, of course!) :)

I just ate, but that peanut butter breakfast cookie still sounds so so good! It’s definitely happening this week.

Hope you’re having a great weekend! xo

I have never been to a Pita Pit, but my brother went to one while traveling and is raved about it and now wants to open a chain of the franchise!

We always get snow in March in Chicago! This weather is so bizarre! Today I found myself complaining it was cold (55*F) which is so much better than normal temps.

I completely agree with number 4, this weather! I wish it would stay like this all year long. Not too cold, not too hot, just perfect weather for any outdooractivity!
