1. I’m really glad I stocked up on pumpkin last year. I snagged it for $0.69/can and haven’t it seen it under $1/can anywhere this year. My husband thinks I can start a pumpkin black market since there’s rumor of another shortage. PS, stove-top pumpkin oats are tasting way better than the overnight version since it’s started to get chilly at night.

1/3 cup oats, 2/3 cup water, 1/2 scoop protein powder,
1/3 cup pumpkin, almond butter, maple syrup, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, 1/8 tsp pumpkin spice
2. I sent my mom this picture of Lexi in her Mossimo-style sweater, and she said it looked like something from The Nightmare Before Christmas (one of my favorite Disney movies). The first time I saw the movie was in Disneyworld on Halloween – pretty great memory, but now I’ll have the “This is Halloween” song in my head all.day.long.

3. You have to check out Clean Chef Jacqui, a blog by one of my co-workers at my first job. She’s and incredibly talented chef and I know many of you would LOVE her recipes – like these protein pumpkin scones.

4. Finally updated the fitness log – it’s been a while! Now that the 10k is over and done with, I am struggling to find motivation to continue running. I’m hoping for a few miles after work today… we’ll see!

love Lexi’s sweater! I haven’t dressed my dogs up in forever.. what is wrong with me?! They need clothes too! I found pumpkin for 99 cents this week… Needless to say I stocked up! (:
Lexi is so adorable!! I sometimes think outfits on dogs are silly, but she is totally rocking that sweater!

I want those protein pumpkin scones! Any way I can get pumpkin into my daily diet is alright with me..
Those pumpkin scones look really good!
Wow those look good. I think I could eat any pumpkin flavored baked good at any time LOL. I wish I had a smaller dog to dress up but sadly my golden and black labs are too fat to fit into any clothing LOL.
Love Lexi’s sweater. We put our little maltese in a santa suit over the holidays and it is so ridiculous looking!
I wish pumpkin was that cheap near me, I really haven’t been doing that much pumpkin because of it

Oh my goodness, Lexi’s sweater is so adorable!
I love it–pumpkin black market! I’ve been able to find it near me, but I’m rationing it out to make it last because it’s so pricey!
Love the dog sweater (where can I get one for Roo?!?) and LOVE Nightmare Before Christmas! Now I feel like I need to watch it
I’m going to have a tough time not talking about Lexi every time I comment on your blog– ESPECIALLY now that she’s wearing clothes! Welcome to the club and prepare yourself

If you get this black market pumpkin business going, let me know
haha
I got hit with perspective yesterday morning – my sister-in-law’s best friend passed away on Thursday evening. It’s sad for her and my hubby’s whole family and just really makes you cherish the loved ones in your life.

LOL at your hubby’s pumpkin black market idea. You could easily make a killing in the blog world that’s fo sho.

Those pumpkin protein scones look pretty awesome! Scones are my favorite of any bfast pastry because of how hearty and nutritious they can be. I especially love savory scones.
Your pup is soooo cute in that sweater! Yup, This Is Halloween is in my head now too, thanks
