Hi, friends! Long time, no chat. Honestly there has been SO MUCH going on in my life but I just haven’t been too driven to sit down and type about it. Hopefully you’ve kept in touch via Instagram and other social media.
I’m here today to tell you about a book that you have to go read. Like right now.
When I first started blogging, Can You Stay for Dinner? was one of my very favorite blogs. Andie posted healthy recipes, helpful tips, and completely relatable personal stories. I visited every day to see if there was anything new to read. When I saw her TEDx talk last year, I was blow away (and totally an Andie-fan for life – AFFL). Now, the world is so incredibly lucky to have a whole physical book (technically a memoir) written by this incredible author. The chance to read an advanced copy is probably the coolest thing that ever happened thanks to this blog.
It Was Me All Along is Andie’s endearing story about things that ALL of us can relate too – vivid childhood memories, family drama, living our own, falling in love, finding ourselves – and overcoming challenges along the way. I love to read, and of course enjoy feeling like you “know” people you’ve never met – like most bloggers and blog-readers. But this book was something I tried to savor. Like not eating all the cookies right off the cookie sheet, I allowed myself one or two chapters a night so that it didn’t go by too quickly.
This book made me cry, laugh out loud, feel embarrassment and joy, and most of all made me want to jump in the car and drive to Andie’s home and just give her a huge freaking hug. Because I think she is incredible. If you want to join the AFFL club, let me know, I’m the self appointed president.
Andie, I <3 you!
