So I haven’t posted since my Christmas re-cap – I considered myself on a “break” between Christmas and New Year’s. I worked two days last week and am working today – Friday… easing back in to a normal schedule.
Some food highlights from the past few weeks!
Breakfast burrito at my dad’s diner – stuffed with eggs, peppers, onions, mushrooms, and spinach. Mmm. Yes, I ate the whole thing.
Clementines! Adam and I go through a 5lb box each week.
We hosted a family get-together on the 21st in memory of my grandmother’s birthday, and I made a bunch of finger foods – this caramelized onion dip was the highlight, and I made it again for a Christmas Eve appetizer.
This super addicting
crack Chex mix also made re-peat appearances – made a second time for a special someone’s surprise birthday party.
We had about 25 of Adam’s closest friends and our immediate family celebrate a week early (just to make sure he had no clue!).
My aunt Jackie’s famous sugar cookie cut-outs were a party favorite.
Amazingly delicious breakfast quesadillas from Cheesecake Factory after a grueling morning of return shopping. Black beans, eggs, and guac make for an incredible combo.
Since we were exhausted after the surprise party and Christmas marathon, we spent a quiet New Years Eve at home (after dinner with my family) and barely stayed awake for the ball drop. Yesterday we caught up on last season’s Grey’s Anatomy thanks to Netflix. How lucky am I to have a guy who likes to shop and watch Grey’s? I think the Chex mix helps. :)
