Welcome back! I was so happy to see your post on my Bloglovin’ feed this morning. I completely agree with you on social media- it has taken over everything, and it seems that someone always has to post this, or tweet that, or find the perfect filter for that. Why can’t we just enjoy the moment we’re in without updating everyone with what we’re doing?
A food blog that I love, is for sure Pinch of Yum or Sally’s Baking Addiction (sorry that’s baking not food, whoops). The pictures are beautiful and make the food look so incredible!
Love seeing you post again, even if it’s just for one random time, but I hope you find the inspiration and it continues :)

Ellen, thanks for the sweet comments. I agree, those two ladies are INCREDIBLE with photography and mouth watering recipes! :)

  2. Your thoughts definitely resonated with me! I am so with you on the majority of the points! And, duh, the word “sadly” shouldn’t be before the photo caption. That’s the only Easter photo necessary! Love it!

Hi Janetha, thanks for the comment. Your blog is one that has always resonated with me and you continue to stay true to your voice. So excited for you and Marshall (and the pups) to become a family of 5! :)

  3. I just found your blog and really liked some of your recipes…
So sad you don’t want to continue. It’s weird reading this as I have only started my own blog. However, I do understand many of your points. If you feel like blogging again, you can just start again! Cheers Tina

  4. Hey Claire! I’ve completely fallen out of the blog/social media world myself. Your blog was always one of my favorites and I liked that you stuck to food/recipes and didn’t go all “dear diary” on your readers. There are still some blogs I read here and there but they tend to be ones that aren’t like a personal journal.
I’ve gotten rid of every social media platform (except Pinterest, but like you, I use it for my own purposes) and I feel SO much better. I was develop bad happens and getting caught in the dreaded comparison trap. I would rather focus on living my life offline. Besides, I just feel like I’m getting too old for most of it.
But if you do continue to post, you know I’ll read!

Hi Angela, just saw this comment – my spam filters have been crazy! It can definitely feel good to disconnect. I am planning to continue to post more regularly, but we’ll see. Hope all is well with you! :)

  5. Only a few months late, but I was totally nodding on a bunch of things. I have SO many blogs in my Bloglovin that I constantly “mark as read” just because half the posts don’t even interest me. And the ones that post 2-3x a day just overwhelm me! That is a total con in my opinion. I do miss you, so I hope you post the odd time :)
