Having nothing on our schedule this weekend was…

Marvelous.  Lexi loves lazy weekends.

Friday night I had to work the late shift, and Adam brought home some Chinese for dinner!  Beef and veggies for him, cucumber sushi roll for me (thanks Katie for the idea!).

Saturday I started the weekend with a challenging hot yoga class, then went to see my brother and his new fraternity become an official “colony” at CMU.  They broke records having 68 brothers pledge – he’s also the president of the fraternity and gave an incredible speech – this kid never ceases to amaze me.

For dinner Saturday night, I made a batch of creamy vodka pasta using some tomatoes that came in the mail.

Yesterday, Adam and I went and picked out our very first Christmas tree for our house (I won the battle over real vs fake, yay!), and spent the evening decorating it.

And I also did a little work for an article on my company’s blog – basic power balls (using almonds, oats, and dates) rolled in powdered sugar as a healthy cookie alternative.

Hope your week is off to a great start!
